Great Success Today at Fundraiser for a Domestic Violence Center

St. Edwards faced off Vs. St. Ignatius in and unusual circumstance off the field and court, The two schools respectively had students At local Dick’s Sporting Good’s Stores selling purple rubberbands saying RESPECT, the Grand total raised was $417.32 by both Schools.

St. Edwards was represented by their Varsity Basketball team, St. Ignatius was represented by: Ryan Gibbons, Bobby Grebenc, Kevin Smith, Kevin Vrsansky-Burke, Niki Gaitan, Coach Tyrone White, and finally the organizer Mrs. Carolyn Brown ran faithfully back and fourth between each store.

The group would like to thank St. Ignatius Principal Peter Corrigan, and Dean of Students Larry Arthur, for their help in collecting funds. The school’s weekly misssion collection was donated to victim Lavell Jordan’s mother, to assist with a downpayment on a home.

Group To Be Honored @ Cleveland City Hall by Council

Monday January 25, 2010 Members from the movement Stand Against Violence will be recognized by Cleveland City Council. Students will be joined by Justin Winemiller and His mother Sherrie, attending to show their support for the movement. Mr. Jason Reed and Mrs. Carolyn Brown plan to attend.
